So, I was trying to order a cake at the Walmart across the street from school for NJHS (trying--long story) when on my way out I passed by prosciutto and I thought, "That sounds delicious!" So I pulled out my phone, and went into Google. What came up was a prosciutto recipe with chicken and I thought, "My culinary adventures can start today!" So it did.
But see, I skimmed the recipe, decided not to get Asiago cheese because I thought it was to top off the dish and I already had shredded Parmesan in my fridge. It was not just to garnish or for flavor. It was a legitimate ingredient.
So after frying up the prosciutto, chicken, broccoli (which was microwaved admittedly and from a bag, but I did fry it at the end to season in with minced garlic. I didn't want to buy a whole head of broccoli and deal with cutting it--I am not good at cutting). This part went well. I didn't even overcook the chicken which is a huge deal if you are me.
Lastly, I had to save a cup of pasta water and bring it to a simmer with whole milk and, you guessed it, Asiago cheese. I simmered. The milk seemed to separate from the water, the cheese did not melt. I stirred and watched it. Now, maybe I did something wrong and it tasted okay, but it didn't look right. So I didn't use it. I thought, "I have some Prego Low-Fat Alfredo in the pantry...it was expired. So I went without. I tasted okay without the sauce. Good even. It also looked pretty damn tasty. Though, I may try to add the sauce tomorrow.
Now, here is my Amanda Specific Fail. I am a bit of a klutz. So, when I was cleaning up the kitchen, I knocked over a bottle of olive oil. Since I was distracted, I didn't notice and almost ALL of it spilled onto my counter. So that was a massive clean up.

In other news, I boiled the rest of the chicken tenderloins and plan to add some Cesar dressing, leftover prosciutto, cheese, and put it in a spinach wrap for lunch tomorrow. I have made this before and I definitely recommend it!
